Steadfast is proud to announce that the organisation has officially been recognised as a Family Inclusive Workplace™. Understanding family needs and flexibility at all stages of life has always been a key focus of our organisation and has underpinned many of our existing family friendly initiatives. By undertaking this official review we wanted to better understand how our initiatives stand up against other organisations and explore what we could do better.
What is a Family Inclusive Workplace?
UNICEF Australia and Parents At Work, alongside 23 founding and supporting partner organisations, have come together to develop a set of National Work + Family Standards, and create the Family Friendly Workplaces certification.
The certification provides employers with a benchmark of best practice guidelines that support workplaces and employees in alignment of work, caring and wellbeing needs. The Family Friendly Workplaces recognition framework benchmarks organisations against the standards and certifies employers as a Family Inclusive Workplace™.
What does this mean for Steadfast?
As a Family Inclusive Workplace™, Steadfast has been recognised as meeting six key standards:

- Family Care
- Family Wellbeing
- Leadership Culture
- Measurement
The certification was awarded following high achievement across these areas of focus with the business rating well above industry in all six standards.
