Job Support has recently launched a video on Job Customisation featuring Steadfast team member, Aleks. The term 'Job customisation' refers to creating a job that has been negotiated for a specific client and varies significantly from the usual job description.

Aleks joined Steadfast Group in July 2016 and works 16 hours per week as an Office Assistant. Many of our Sydney staff may recognise Aleks in this video, who works across the different floors at 99 Bathurst Street, where he is busy keeping our kitchens and meeting rooms clean and tidy, and offering a few of his footy tips along the way.

What does Job Support do?

Prior to the 1986 Disability Services Act, people with a moderate intellectual disability didn't achieve open employment. As recently as 2013, an evaluation of disability employment services found that one service, Job Support was responsible for 72 percent of the 26-week employment outcomes for people with a moderate intellectual disability working 15+ hours per week.
