About - Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement (HEP&R)

Medtronic is a global medical technology leader offering life-improving innovations. Here in ANZ, the Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement (HEP&R) team partners with our businesses to establish reimbursement &/or funding that is key to enabling access to Medtronic’s products, technologies and therapies for patients in Australia and New Zealand.

A Day in the Life 

As a Graduate within the HEP&R team, you will gain valuable experience and training in activities that are critical for enabling patient access to Medtronic products and therapies. You will acquire insights into how Medtronic delivers innovative products and services that address the needs of patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems. You will receive extensive training, mentorship and coaching from experienced professionals who will help you develop your skills and competencies. 

This Graduate program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to:

  • Navigate the complex healthcare environment in Australia and New Zealand – with a specific focus on the economics of the healthcare system and how it plays an enabling role in patient access
  • Develop an understanding of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) methodologies and processes
  • Synthesize published, unpublished and real-world data to articulate the clinical and economic value of Medtronic products and therapies
  • Gain insights into achieving, maintaining and future-proofing funding and reimbursement for medical devices

About the program: 

  • The successful candidate will be based in Sydney and be supported by a full team of experts in Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement
  • The successful candidate will be provided with both formal and on the job-training which will allow them to apply their learnings in practice and work with  the HEP&R team in various funding & reimbursement projects critical to patient  access
  • This is a 24-month, fixed-term, full-time position

Must-Have: 

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in the Sciences
  • Less than one year of full-time work experience
  • Initiative and drive to leverage the high learning environment opportunity within the HEPR team
  • A willingness to roll up their sleeves to actively support HEP&R projects
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

The screening process for this role consists of a video interview, a psychological assessment, a phone call with a recruitment partner and a virtual or face-to-face interview with a panel of interviewers.
