Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Cadet Mechanical Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Perth.

As a successful candidate, you will:

The Cadet Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the production of Mechanical & Piping models and drawings by project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer. You will participate in tasks that may include PFD and P&ID drafting, plant layout studies and development, piping and mechanical design 3D models and 2D drawings, piping isometric extraction, mechanical equipment check sheets, pipe support modeling, and detail drawings, and site survey to client sites.

This role is well suited to an individual who is currently working towards their Diploma or equivalent in Engineering. You will be a highly motivated individual, looking to build a long-term career within a well-established design and engineering team.

You bring to the role:

  • Currently studying Diploma or equivalent in Engineering
  • Experience in the use of CAD software packages an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good safety awareness
