Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Graduate engineer to join the Digital Group in Perth!

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Collaborate in a high-performing team creating advanced digital solutions with operations-specific focus, e.g., integrated control automation of heavy equipment for the mining industry, this includes:
  • Contribute to the synthesis of new ideas and proofs-of-concept by working closely with client representatives and Hatch subject matter experts
  • Capture, analyze and validate requirements with appropriate stakeholders to engineer robust and relevant solutions
  • Design and develop software in a multitude of platforms including Industrial controller systems (e.g. PLCs, vendor-specific HMIs), server applications (e.g. C#), database-centric software (e.g. SQL), and user interface development (e.g. web/JavaScript) and cloud (e.g. Azure).
  • Perform validation activities to ensure solutions meet the required high-quality standards
  • Provide on-site commissioning and ongoing offsite support (e.g. root cause analysis) for these solutions

You bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in Electrical/Mechatronics/Software/Computer Science with a strong academic record
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to think laterally and innovatively
  • Flexibility to travel and work in locations within Australia and Internationally
  • A passion and drive to make a real difference
