Your role

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of Fragrance project work, in close coordination with the Fragrance Sales Manager. The role is ultimately responsible for all technical aspects of the fragrance business including fragrance selection, application testing, portfolio review including ongoing olfactory description, and modifying formulations to ensure regulatory and customer compliance. Developing an understanding and knowledge of the fragrance portfolio is critical to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing olfactory and technical knowledge of the Kerry fragrance portfolio and being capable and prepared to share this knowledge with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Manage and organize the fragrance laboratory activities related to development projects including fragrance selection and preparation, application preparation and testing and record maintenance.
  • Communicate with account managers and customers as required to provide technical support and ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Utilize Kerry Recipe management systems to update and modify recipes in line with regulatory and customer requirements and manage master data workflows for formulation and raw material introduction.
  • Organize retention and recipe library which includes filing recipes, work-sheet data entry and housekeeping for retention samples.
  • Coordinate Olfactory evaluation for the fragrance team, to ensure all products are profiled and measured for suitability in the application.
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and RD&A area in general.
  • Administrative support to RD&A Management team with data capturing, reports and presentation preparations and other ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Undertake other duties as directed.

About you

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Technology or any similar field. 
  • Open to fresh graduates or minimum 1-year experience in a relevant technical role involving fragrance exposure. 
  • Supervisory skills an advantage (for example supervising Laboratory Technician) 
  • Experience in stock control data and exposure to SAP Systems is an advantage.
  • Previous demonstrated ability in Olfactory evaluation is preferred.
