Your role

The role of the multi-skilled technician–mechanical is to support the operations team in delivering to its customers the highest quality product, on time and in full while ensuring the equipment is safe in its operation for both personnel and the product it produces. This multi-skilled Technician is the custodian of the equipment and systems within the plant, to this end the person performing this role will be required to perform emergency response support to operations for all equipment issues, minimising downtime and waste. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership in the area of safety. Ensures all works undertaken during maintenance activities performed do not breach the appropriate health and safety standards and where necessary will assist others and/or report safety breaches.
  • Responsible for ensuring up-to-date knowledge of Kerry policies, and regional, national, and local legislative requirements necessary in performing the tasks associated with the role of the maintenance engineer.

About you

Qualifications and Skills

  • Trade or degree qualified - Mechanical or Electrical. – · Multi-skilled / cross-skilled capability · Qualification in Process Engineering & Design
  • Strong knowledge & experience in manufacturing electro/mechanical automated equipment & processes including pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation-controlled systems.
  • Knowledge & experience with facilities plants, Boilers (steam or Hot water), refrigeration, air handling, effluent treatments plants,
  • Demonstrate capability in trouble shooting electro-mechanical systems safely
  • Knowledge of electro-pneumatic and pneumatic components & systems
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical & fluid drive processes and systems
