How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
The company can provide some flexibility, however the hours are long and the culture often makes you work longer hours just through seeing other people doing so even if it isn't specifically stated. Different departments have different flexibility schemes, but working on site provides very little wiggle room to not work long hours.

I work flexibly. Mostly from home, I come into the office with my team twice a week. I have the freedom to go in more or less day if I choose to. Company does recommend we go in to office as much as we can. In terms of work hours, in my role there is good work life balance. I am doing an 8 hour day, up to an hour extra if necessary but not usually required. Managers encourage work life balance.

during my site rotation I've done very long hours (10 hours on regular days and 12hours during occupations). Also sometimes we work during weekends.

Hours are typically driven by the amount of work which needs to get done, and can be quite long during peak periods. However this means that work days can also be quite short during periods of down time. Days will normally be between 8 and 10 hours with occasional longer/shorter days.

The company has an excellent flexible working policy. I choose to work from the office but would typically work an 8.5-9 hour day. There is very rarely any pressure to work outside of my contracted hours.
