The Story of IQVIA Australia

IQVIA Australia was established more than 40 years ago and has been a part of the region’s development for decades. They continue to help leading life-science and healthcare organisations make innovations to improve human health.

Their customers range from small biotech, consumer health companies, and global biopharma, to not-for-profit or government agencies. They help to get the right treatments to patients, speed drug development, ensure product quality and safety, improve access and delivery of healthcare, improve commercial effectiveness, and ultimately drive better health outcomes.

They apply a highly customised approach called IQVIA Connected Intelligence to achieve powerful results by connecting advanced analytics, unparalleled data, healthcare and scientific expertise, and innovative technologies. With domain expertise, in-depth local market knowledge, and globally integrated technologies, they aim to be a catalyst for innovation in human healthcare.

Culture & vibe

IQVIA has a diverse team, and they share a passion for collaboration and solving complex problems. Their culture encourages staff to apply their curiosity, insight, and intellectual courage across everything they do. New ideas and creativity are encouraged while maintaining an environment of inclusion so that people can work together and learn from each other.

Colleagues are willing to help new members to understand the business processes as well as the set of standards for the team. This teamwork and collaboration are the foundation of their accomplishments.

Recruitment process

To apply for a role, you need to submit your application online through their website. When you are shortlisted, you will get an HR phone interview, followed by an online or face-to-face interview with a direct reporting manager.

The interview questions might be technical (such as what software should be used or your experience with system improvement), and behavioural (such as: how you handle the pressure and conflicts during the work). IQVIA also requires a background check from two of your previous managers and a document verification process by a third party.

Other than that, IQVIA Australia also has a CRA development program that provides participants with the knowledge and skills to serve as Clinical Research Associates. Many graduates from the program have become Senior CRA, Line Managers, or Clinical Project Managers. You need to join their Global Talent Network to get notified when the next opportunity becomes available. The Australian program only accepts around 15 participants per cohort on a twice-yearly basis.
