Recruitment Process

We have a structured approach to recruitment and selection in order to attract, select and appoint the best staff through an inclusive, fair and merit-based process. The following steps are used in our recruitment process (please check out our website for more information):

  1. Applicaiton - include your resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria of the role. You will receive a confirmation email once your application is received.
  2. Application screening/shortlisting - our team review every application this is submitted. Depending on the role and size of the candidate pool, this stage may include a preliminary interview (via phone or Teams) so we can get to know you better and help out with shortlisting.
  3. Interview - If you are shortlisted you will be invited for a face-to-face or video call interview. If you are not shortlisted for an interview, we will let you know once the recruitment process has been finalised. However, we will keep your application in file for a period of 12 months to assess against any future opportunities.  You may also be asked to complete a skills assessment or activity after the interview and/or come in for a second interview.
  4. Pre-employment screening -If you’re being considered for a role, we’ll seek your consent to contact your referees. It is a mandatory requirement for all Hear and Say employees to have a current Blue Card (working with children check) and Yellow Card (disability worker screening) throughout their employment with us. We may also undertake right to work checks, psychometric, aptitude and other forms of testing.
  5. Decision - At this final stage, we will assess each candidate thoroughly. If you are successful, you will be offered the role- congratulations! We will provide you with all the onboarding information to ensure a seamless commencement with Hear and Say. If you are not successful, we will contact you to let you know and provide feedback for you. We will also keep you application on file for any future opportunities.
