Your role

This position is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas APAC region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and executing the different category strategies while not compromising on Vestas's standards and processes. The key task is to deploy strategic and operational development of key suppliers in the APAC region by performing audits, supplier assessments and leading QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce the number of non-conformities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers under Indirect categories as service and transport contractors
  • Manage supplier quality, capability, and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with regional & global strategy
  • Execute new market entry strategy & new supplier onboarding ensuring Vesta's processes are followed
  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities.
  • Lead QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vesta's requirements.
  • Drive Supplier Business Review Meetings with cross-functional participation
  • Ensure that relevant QSE agreements with suppliers are in place
  • Lead and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiatives, conduct QHSE audits and present executive reports

About you

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in similar positions with supplier management, safety & quality focus
  • Experience with supplier management and driving improvement projects in quality, process, and safety areas 
  • Previous work history in oil & gas, offshore, service or transport business is an advantage
  • Certified auditor/lead auditor ISO, other standards and relevant quality-safety certifications will be an advantage

Competencies:

  • Competency in data analytics and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, strong meeting facilitator with the ability to work effectively -with diverse stakeholders within an international, dynamic & cross-functional environment 
  • Self-driven personality, independent learning & critical thinking skills - the ability to identify and deliver actionable solutions to complex problems
  • Fluency in English
