Your role

At its core, logistics procurement is sourcing services needed to support the operations team in each market, including vehicle car-hauling, warehouse and parts distribution, and vehicle pre-delivery inspections and storage requirements.

The Procurement Internship position will assist the procurement managers in raising quotations, quotation analysis, and preparing the tender and procurement documents. Furthermore, this will help Implement the approved procurement plans and draft framework agreements and work orders for suppliers.

Please note: Due to the demands of the role, Tesla requires someone who is able to work 4-5 days a week. 

What You’ll Do:

• The primary goal of the Procurement Intern is to provide support to the Global Supply Manager for tender (RFP) preparation, analysis and management of day-to-day functions that will enable the GSM to take on a more strategic role with the expansion of the APAC region such as new market launch and driving cost reductions through supplier negotiation
• Liaise with APAC market operational leads to establish business requirements for any of the logistics mentioned above services
• Coordination of tender (RFP) documentation preparation and assistance with collation and business case recommendations based on tender submissions received 
• Coordination of managing the supplier database repository with the assistance of management 
• APAC market research and logistics supplier recommendations

About you

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree in business, finance, logistics, procurement or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability will be looked upon favourably
• Computer savvy – preferably strong in Microsoft Excel
• Be able to work under high pressure and during demanding periods
• Ability to work with little supervision but within a team environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
