Your role

A research internship at Oracle Labs will give you an opportunity to explore complex software research problems in different areas of intelligent application security like software composition analysis, runtime application self-protection, vulnerability detection and remediation, program synthesis, cloud security, supply chain security, threat intelligence etc.

You shall be leveraging any existing knowledge in these areas as well as applying software engineering skills and techniques, working alongside engineers and researchers at Oracle Labs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the project lead and the team to identify interesting research or engineering problems in the selected area
  • Analyze problem definitions and investigate and evaluate different software solution approaches in terms of functional completeness, extensibility, scalability and performance
  • Design, implement and test software prototypes as required
  • Deliver an end-of-project presentation to a wider audience at Oracle Labs, Brisbane

About you

Qualifications & Skills Requirement

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science 
  • Passion for solving real-world problems through research and development
  • Demonstrable interest in software engineering
  • Programming experience in two or more of C/C++, Java and/or Python
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English fluently
