Your role

The responsibilities of a Cloud Solution Engineer are broad and the challenges are demanding.  You will be expected to constantly deliver more – more innovation, more value for the company's customers, and more revenue. This position offers you an opportunity to work with customers across a variety of market segments and industries. In addition to understanding the key requirements of these businesses, you will deliver demonstrations to show the functional and technical capabilities of Oracle’s Cloud solutions that meet the customer’s needs.

As an Associate Cloud Solution Engineer, you will:

  • Work alongside sales representatives to support business targets by providing technical and business consulting expertise for cloud and hybrid solutions
  • Be responsible for discovery calls, solution architecture designs, and delivery of solution demonstrations and high-quality technical presentations to customers and prospects
  • Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology to client business
  • Provide product & solution-positioning enablement sessions to sales associates
  • Design, validate and present Oracle solutions with advanced product concepts, features and benefits, future direction, and third-party complimentary products
  • Participate & present in customer workshops
  • Develop and manage customer references through high-quality technical engagement and professional relationships

About you

What They Look For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 year overall experience in the relevant functional or technical area
  • Demonstrated interest and competence in a technology area; exposure to or working knowledge in any of the following areas:   
    • Databases & Data Management
    • Data Science, Analytics & Business Intelligence
    • Cloud Computing – Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Native, Multi-Cloud, Hybrid-Cloud environments
    • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Knowledge Engineering
    • Emerging Technologies – Blockchain, IoT, ChatBots, Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality
    • Security – Cloud, Enterprise, Network, Edge, Application
    • Edge computing & distributed systems
    • Virtualization technologies
    • Programming languages – Java, Javascript, SQL, Python, CSS, Scala, etc.
    • Software Development – Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, Git/GitHub, etc.
    • Open Source technologies
  • Strong personal drive and can-do attitude
