Your role

The caseload will be working with the adult population and assisting people with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and a diverse range of other neurological impairments. The Occupational Therapy position within the neurological disability space is challenging, yet rewarding, allowing clinicians to be innovative and provide tailored programs.

Clinical snapshot:

  • Delivery of therapeutic services including OT assessments, interventions, treatment planning, education, and reporting.
  • Prescription and funding requests of AT as required.
  • Support clients with a person-centered approach, to promote inclusion and new possibilities.
  • Collaborate with a well-structured multidisciplinary team.

The position is based at the Hobart office and you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment providing a mix of clinic/office and community services within Hobart and surrounding areas. The position at hand is ideal for applicants with part-time availability of 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Completion of Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent.
  • Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screen. 
  • Full COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an NDIS framework.
  • Familiarity, knowledge, and understanding of prescribing a range of assistive technology.

Compensation & benefits

As stated by NeuroRehab, the base salary for this role is AUD 75,000 to  AUD 85,000.
