Your role

NeuroRehab Hobart is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Therapist (new grads, early careers, and experienced welcome) to join their full-time team. Part-time applications and those seeking school-friendly hours are also encouraged to apply! Currently, the team has access to community gyms and private office spaces, with an exciting new and innovative clinic space in the works for 2024.

NeurosRehab specializes in neurological rehabilitation, working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries, MS, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and a diverse range of other neurological impairments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of therapeutic services including OT assessments, interventions, treatment planning, education and reporting.
  • Prescription and funding requests of AT as required.
  • Support clients with a person-centred approach, to promote inclusion and new possibilities.
  • Collaborate with a well-structured multidisciplinary team.

NeuroRehab's new Occupational Therapist team members are provided with regular supervision, you will join the Nest Program which runs for a 6-month period (provides support for those new in their clinical career), and you will also be provided with a peer support therapist to support you during your initial months as a clinician (for new grads).

Benefits

As stated by NeuroRehab, the salary for this role is $72,000 (36.44/hr) - $95,000 (48.90/hr) (depending on experience) PLUS superannuation, company car, fuel card, laptop, phone, and an efficiency commission program to reward your time and efforts!

About you

Requirements:

  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Successful candidates are required to undertake a Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screen
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Influenza vaccination

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an NDIS framework
  • Familiarity, knowledge and understanding of prescribing a range of assistive technology
