Your role

DreamWorks Animation is looking for an intern to join the Production Software Rigging and Animation Development team.  This team is responsible for Premo - the company's award-winning, proprietary character animation, and rigging tool. Interns will work closely with NBCUniversal Australia's world-class artists and top engineers in this field.

Job Description:

• Work with technical leadership to design, build, and support new and existing capabilities and techniques related to character animation and rigging in a large-scale application
• Closely interact with animators and character riggers to help improve their workflows
• Develop clean, maintainable, and documented solutions
• Develop thorough unit tests to validate solutions
• Collaborate with Pipeline and Microservice teams to ensure data flows in and out of the application correctly and efficiently
• Work in a collaborative environment and develop problem-solving skills

About you

Qualifications:

• Majoring in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong interest in animation and passion for how technology and art work together
• C/C++ experience
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills

Desired Characteristics:

• Qt experience
• Python experience
• OpenGL experience
• Ability to work within a Linux environment
