MicroSec (www.usec.io) is looking for a tech-savvy, driven, and creative B2B Marketing Intern with a focus on cybersecurity to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge marketing strategies within the cybersecurity industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a keen interest in cybersecurity trends, and a desire to learn about marketing in a high-tech environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in tech-focused marketing and to make a significant impact in promoting cybersecurity solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns tailored to the cybersecurity market, including digital, email, social media, and content marketing.
  • Write and edit various cybersecurity-related content and promote its distribution through various channels including social media. 
  • Help create engaging content that explains complex cybersecurity concepts in an accessible and compelling manner for various audiences.
  • To bring leads to the company through various channels and to keep track of KPIs and ROIs. 
  • Create various collaterals of the company including decks, pamphlets, and other marketing-related materials.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the cybersecurity industry.
  • Analyze campaign performance and assist in the preparation of marketing analytics reports to understand effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create marketing materials and tools that support the sales process, including presentations, brochures, and case studies.
  • Support the management of the company’s social media profiles, ensuring they reflect the latest in cybersecurity trends and company offerings.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends for IoT & OT cybersecurity and do competitor analysis.
  • Participating in events and conferences.

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled (or immediate graduate) in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in technology and cybersecurity, with a willingness to stay informed of the latest trends and developments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, concise terms.
  • Basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.) and other graphic design software.
  • Basic understanding of marketing & cybersecurity principles and strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, creative thinking, and a passion for digital storytelling.
  • You possess startup DNA, which means you are a hustler and thrive in establishing structure amidst ambiguity
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail, pattern recognition, insight generation, and the ability to process information quickly to deliver against tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence
  • Determination to own the outcome and be self-motivated and directed
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
