Your role

LEAP Australia is growing, and they are seeking a motivated and talented Electrical Engineer to join the team in Sydney (alternate locations in ANZ will be considered).

An Electrical Application Engineer helps customers solve complex engineering problems using innovative CAE technologies. The role will involve a range of activities that include:

  • Technical services and consulting
  • Pre and post-sales technical support
  • Technology demonstrations
  • Training and mentoring

About you

Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn and a desire to help clients solve their most difficult engineering problems using simulation-based techniques. This position will involve frequent interaction with clients, so it requires excellent communication skills and a strong desire to understand technical problems and underlying business requirements.

A strong academic qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or a similar discipline is required, with experience in the use of Electronics CAE software. Enthusiastic graduates with academic experience are encouraged to apply, along with experienced Electrical Engineering simulation practitioners with prior industry experience.

Experience in the use of the following software is essential:

  • ANSYS/Ansoft Electromagnetics tools (HFSS / Maxwell / Lumerical)

Practical Experience in the use of the following disciplines is beneficial

  • EMC/EMI measurements of PCB
  • Optical and Photonic Components and Systems
  • Circuit design for RF applications or power electronic devices

Visa Status:

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident preferred
  • For the right candidate, sponsorship will be considered
