Job Description

Kennedys IT Training Team is responsible for the delivery of a responsive, effective, and intuitive training platform to the firm's employees and clients.

They develop and deliver high-quality IT Training and eLearning for the firm's staff, ensuring each individual can make effective use of the systems and applications appropriate to their role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare effective training programs and support materials, considering the skill levels and roles of the intended recipients and which align with Kennedys business best practice
  • Design, create and edit engaging eLearning, using Adobe Captivate.
  • Create and maintain online documentation, or other media, to support courses delivered and/or to promote self-sufficiency, and support improvement and best practice programs and projects
  • Ensure that all staff are trained and able to make effective use of the applications and systems required for their role
  • Deliver engaging classroom and/or webinar training sessions
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of complex business systems such as case/document management systems and financial systems.
  • Liaise with the IT department and others to identify existing, new, and changed applications and systems, procedures and processes, best practices, and knowledge and incorporate them into existing and new training programs.
  • Maintain data relating to training and service provided in the LMS.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of complex business systems such as case/document management systems and financial systems.
  • Attempting to resolve queries and requests assigned to the Training team, in particular advising on application usage and providing ad-hoc training, face-to-face and using remote support systems.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating incidents assigned to the IT Training team on the helpdesk system promptly.
  • Delegating incidents to the appropriate supplier if the IT Department cannot resolve them in a timely or satisfactory manner
  • Escalating incidents to the IT Training Team Leader where they are not progressing in a timely or satisfactory manner
  • Advising the IT Training Team Leader of any technical or resource issues that may impact the department's ability to meet the published Service Levels.
  • Maintain data relating to training and service provided in the LMS.

Required experience

  • eLearning authoring skills (Adobe Captivate)
  • High level of attention to detail in presentation, written work, and record-keeping
  • Previous experience in a professional services firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Customer focused and positive attitude
  • Actively seek to work as part of a Team and maintain a flexible attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to resolve issues
  • Experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing, and delivering in a highly pressured environment
  • Aptitude for thinking logically and problem-solving
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to further develop IT knowledge and training skills
