The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and intellectually curious software developer to be part of a dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you will be working closely with a group of high calibre developers with extensive industry experience, providing support to our existing systems and enhancing our current processes that cover all aspects of the investment lifecycle, including:

• Custom R&D software that utilises massive financial datasets
• In-house live automated trading system, with 24/7 uptime
• Distributed computing running historical trading simulations
• Co-located hardware at exchanges around the world

What You'll Do

As a part of the Software Development team, you will take on responsibility for projects within the research and trading system. Due to being a small business, with ~ 20 people, you will have ownership and control over your own project which will include working closely with Traders, Researchers, IT, and other developers. Your work will have an immediate impact and will be influencing the decision-making of our live trading systems.

Skills and qualifications

• A University degree in IT or a related discipline.
• A firm grasp of:
• Microsoft .Net, C#
• Microsoft SQL Server or other similar query languages
• Object-oriented methodologies
• Strong algorithmic thinking and proficiency with data structures and problem-solving
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage to change priorities
• Experience with financial markets, financial derivatives and automated trading is highly regarded, however not essential
• We are open to all levels of experience as long as you have a can-do attitude!
