Job Description

JLL is investing in engaged and purpose-driven people who believe that they want to make a difference by creating sustainable cities and the built environment. With or without experience we are keen to meet with you to share our passion and ambitions.

Becoming more sustainable is one of the biggest challenges facing corporates today – and the built environment accounts for approximately 40% of the world’s CO2 emissions. Everyone’s now asking how can we decarbonize our real estate, preferably most efficiently and effectively. It’s where JLL’s sustainability experts can make a tangible difference, advising companies on how to invest in and implement measures that deliver a potent combination of financial, environmental, and social returns. Join JLL to drive the change that’s needed and shape the future of real estate for a better world — a net-zero world.

We’re JLL—a leading professional services and investment management firm specializing in real estate. We have operations in over 80 countries and a workforce of over 92,000 individuals around the world who help real estate owners, occupiers and investors achieve their business ambitions. As a global Fortune 500 company, we also have an inherent responsibility to drive sustainability and corporate social responsibility. That’s why we’re committed to our purpose to shape the future of the real estate for a better world. We’re using the most advanced technology to create rewarding opportunities, amazing spaces and sustainable real estate solutions for our clients, our people and our communities.

Our core values of teamwork, ethics and excellence are also fundamental to everything we do and we’re honored to be recognized with awards for our success by organizations both globally and locally.

Creating a diverse and inclusive culture where we all feel welcomed, valued and empowered to achieve our full potential is important to who we are today and where we’re headed in the future. And we know that unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives help us think bigger, spark innovation and succeed together.

If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements below. We’re interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!

Context

The built environment is generating nearly 40% of the total global carbon footprint. With global warming and urbanization, this trend can only increase unless we decide to combat it. Many corporations have made pledges to reduce NZC but the road to delivering on these promises still needs to be defined and implemented. JLL manages more than 500 million square meters of real estate on behalf of its clients so we believe that we have a role to play to drive the sustainability agenda to shape a better world.

Our Sustainability Ambition

At JLL, sustainability is more than a saying. As a business, we’ve made our commitment to reducing scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions down to zero by 2040. To achieve this ambitious goal, we will need to engage with our clients - almost 97% of our emissions are generated by the buildings we manage in their portfolios. With this commitment, we must deploy best in class sustainability practices with all of our clients across the 500 million billion square meters that we manage globally, whether investors or occupiers, from strategy to transforming assets and project management down to managing assets.

We recognize the importance of sustainability because it enables us to contribute to a better world and shape the future of the real estate. We want to make JLL a world-leading, sustainable professional services firm by creating spaces, buildings and cities where people can thrive. To do so, we aim to drive disruptive and impactful change by embedding sustainability into everything we do.
