Your role

JLL Australia's Assistant Transaction Managers are responsible for supporting the management of an assigned portfolio under the guidance of a Transaction Manager. Depending on your skill level, you will initially help with reporting, researching market evidence, and drafting lease documents and business cases. Their aim is to develop your skills progressively to learn all there is to know about lease negotiation, portfolio management, and client management!

You will work as part of an agile, evolving team managing a large and complex government portfolio, where your initial focus will be to obtain an understanding of relevant state, federal or departmental policies, rules, regulations, and legislation.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring all lease data is abstracted and approved in the property management information systems (PMIS)
  • Assist in the monitoring of critical dates and ensure all lease events are actioned in accordance with the lease
  • Confirming data changes are accurately documented and approved in the PMIS
  • Work to enhance existing playbooks for all the processing functions, including rent reviews and reporting
  • Learning and adopting best practices in managing the portfolio, including risk management
  • Overseeing the management of the rent roll and all payments under the lease, such as outgoings
  • Preparing documentation in accordance with the contract and client requirements
  • Undertaking market sweeps, research, and property benchmarking advice
  • Account reconciliation
  • Researching and compiling lease transaction plans, market evidence analysis, and business case papers for management, with an accurate representation of asset and lease performance
