What this job involves

Due to business success and growth, JLL Australia has a new opening for a Strategic Consultant Analyst based in our Strategic Consultancy division, in Brisbane, QLD.

Strategic Consulting is JLL’s national consultancy team that works across all elements of JLL and provides advisory services to clients incorporating research, advice, and real-time data in specific asset classes that enable our clients (public and private) to make effective and viable business decisions. Our multi-disciplinary team includes a broad range of expertise across development, valuations, transactions, town planning, and economics.

A snapshot of the role:

Joining as a permanent full-time position, reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Consulting, and in cooperation with the Consulting team, you will be providing analytical support to the team, in a busy role that works closely with internal and external clients. Your role will include market research, financial analysis, presentation, report presentation, and transaction support.

Your role will include:

Analysis

  • Source, collate, review and analyze property market data.
  • Analyse data and due diligence information relating to real estate assets.
  • Develop and operate financial models and analysis (Excel, Estate Master).

Reporting

  • Prepare and format reports, submissions, briefs, and presentations to a high/creative standard (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher). 
  • Prepare and deliver benchmarking and market commentary reports (including asset-focused reports).

Marketing

  • Assist in the preparation of pitch documents and submissions.
  • Preparation of Investment Memorandums, Expression of Interest documentation, and associated marketing material.
  • Provide input to marketing campaigns including preparation of advertising material for press advertising, brochures, and online content.
  • Ensure maintenance of marketing material – e.g. Strategic Consulting national meetings and web activity.
  • Management of the digital case study library and proactively supporting the team to prepare new content as relevant.
  • Preparation of submissions, reports, and presentations to a high standard (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher).

Sound like you?  This is what we're looking for:

  • Recent graduate or 1 to 2 years of industry experience.
  • Training in, or knowledge of, the real estate sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualifications in Property, Economics, Finance, and other disciplines will be highly regarded.
  • Estate Master and feasibilities support
  • Commercial acumen, strong interpersonal, analytical skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Competent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience/capability in creating, formatting, and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
