The candidates will form part of an established technical services team in NSW or QLD, where they will be mentored and trained to be part of a larger team helping our clients with the delivery of professional technical advice.

What is the JDK Graduate Program?! 

The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month career development opportunity for both Geotechnical, Mining and Engineering Graduates at our growing client list in NSW and QLD. This unique opportunity will combine site-based hands-on experience with supervisor and peer-based mentoring in the construction, infrastructure and mining sectors. 

Your New Role after the Program: 

• You will be led and mentored by a very motivated senior team of staff with varying technical expertise. You will be part of a larger team that manages key aspects of construction phase services (CPS) delivery, project initiation and change management processes of existing projects. 
• Be involved and trained in the principles of work management, and performance improvement as you build long-standing relationships with our subcontractors.  
• Demonstrate organisational management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions related to subcontractors 
• Be involved and trained in construction coordination methods and activities to meet specifications and exceed planned schedules.  
• Assist with the preparation and review of project schedule and budget forecast. 
• Document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting. 

Your Background: 

• Relevant Tertiary Degree and/or qualification (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Geoscience).
• Willing to undertake immediate site experience in an engineering capacity or Labour delivery environment (ie residential building methods as an undergrad), some knowledge of construction or project management delivery. 
• Experience with design interpretation, report documentation review and demonstrated ease of communication with colleagues, clients and sub-contractors. 
• Must be willing to have fun at work! 
• Any experience working on transportation projects including roads, rail and tunnels is a bonus.
