As a lifeguard at Sea Island, you become an integral part of a team dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests across our pools and beach areas.

Your Role: As a lifeguard, you will diligently monitor all pools and beach areas, promptly responding to emergencies to ensure guest and member safety. Additionally, you will provide personalized service, including setting up umbrellas and chaise lounges, and maintain a clean and inviting environment by regularly tidying towels and debris.

Training, Development & Rotations: Sea Island is committed to your growth and success. We provide comprehensive training, including obtaining Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Opportunities for skill development and potential role rotations within the organization are available to enhance your career journey.

About You: You are an energetic and responsible individual with a strong commitment to safety. Possessing Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications (which can be provided by Sea Island), you are ready to contribute to our guest-focused mission with enthusiasm and dedication.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • You must be eligible for the J1 Work & Travel Visa.*
  • This means you need to have;
  • An Australian or New Zealand Passport
  • Be a current Uni student, or have graduated within the last 12 months.

*Please note there are costs involved with obtaining a J1 Work & Travel Visa. International Working Holidays who are based in Auckland, NZ will assist you with obtaining this visa & helping you with logistics. Financial assistance is available.
