Your role

The Pharmacist Pre-Registration Intern Program is designed to advance your clinical knowledge through comprehensive training and development opportunities across a broad range of practice settings.

With a network of experienced pharmacists providing mentorship and guidance, the dedicated teaching program will ensure you receive the support and development you need to kick-start your pharmacy career.

Icon’s pharmacy services encompass Slade, Epic and Icon pharmacies across Australia. The pharmacy services place great emphasis on developing and promoting from within, so this is your chance to get a foot in the door for ongoing, permanent opportunities in their clinical pharmacies across Australia.

Key responsibilities:

• Dispense medications for patients
• Counsel patients on the appropriate use of medicines
• Participate in medication reconciliation clinical pharmacy review
• Liaise with hospital wards and associated employees
• Medication supply and logistics
• Assist with projects, audits and reviews
• Attend seminars, and training days and participate in an approved Intern Training Program

About you

Essential skills & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Pharmacy from an Australian or New Zealand University and enrolment in an eligible Intern Training Program
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem-solve
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Previous pharmacy experience advantageous
