About the role

As the Communications Coordinator, you will be assisting in the execution of full-service client campaigns. You will be responsible for assisting in the investment process, helping to secure, confirm and monitor media space, as well as the setup, trafficking and monitoring of digital campaigns. You will be responsible for the management of client material, and general administration tasks for your Essence team.  But at Essence, it’s so much more than this…

You will assist in the planning of the media experience, and the execution of the trades. All of our Media coordinators are empowered to be involved widely across the client team, so you get exposure to all stages of the process!

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Activate approved media plans, ensuring campaign deliverables are met consistently, across all touchpoints, with support from the client planning team and senior investment manager.
  • Book, load, confirm, optimise, track and post analyse client media campaigns.
  • Track positioning and placement of media to ensure they match bookings.
    Support the construction of post-analysis reports.
  • Benchmark cost and quality internally, leverage insights to improve value extraction and share learnings internally.
  • Construct insightful competitive analysis for clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring all financial and compliance processes are followed
  • Responsible for ensuring all account queries within 3 days, identifying the reason why the account query occurred and ensuring this process is refined moving forward
  • Ensure timesheets are completed accurately daily, and in advance of any annual leave
  • Collaborate with the wider agency community including training and knowledge share
  • Establish an understanding of client challenges, objectives & initiatives.
  • Help build on the agency's reputation for outstanding client service. Ensure delivery against client expectations every time – “under-promise/over-deliver”
  • Engage with our partners to build knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint
  • Seeks out training opportunities within WPP and the industry
  • Signed up for and attends nGen events and courses 

What you will need:

  • Hunger to learn the about the media industry
  • An eagerness to add value to the team and wider agency
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Work experience in a media agency is preferred but not essential
  • Degree in Communications, Media or similar is preferred
