This position will work with the Authority’s Reef Education and Engagement section, alongside a range of Project Managers and other team members, in the coordination, delivery and reporting of education and engagement projects and activities in order to achieve project success.

Duties

  1. Provide high level project support as required, including procurement processes and contracts, financial and milestone reporting, document production and quality assurance and records management.
  2. Provide expertise, technical and project knowledge, support and forthright advice in specialist area across a range of programs or activities for the agency.
  3. Identify and implement continuous improvement to the Reef Authority’s reef education and engagement projects, and strengthen the Reef Authority’s reef education and engagement program delivery.
  4. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals by developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships to support the delivery of project objectives, communicating and liaising appropriately with stakeholders as required.

As an APS employee you may be reassigned to a different set of duties at the same classification level at the discretion of the agency head (CEO), taking account of operational requirements in the agency.

Eligibility requirements & qualifications

Applicants must:

  1. be an Australian citizen at time of applying for position,
  2. be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, failure to do so will result in termination of employment.
  3. hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card), failure to obtain/maintain QLD Blue card will result in termination of employment,

Desirable qualifications or equivalent experience

  • Qualification in project management, or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience.
