St Margaret's Rehabilitation Hospital, Northfield
Salary  MDP-2  $84,093/$125,949 p.a.
Full-time temporary up to 5/3/23

You will be responsible for managing the care of patients undergoing rehabilitation care, in consultation with the responsible Registrars, Consultants, Visiting Specialists, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. Keeping high quality, readily accessible records of patient care, you will provide effective and accurate clinical handover of patient care at the change of daily shifts and at the change of a clinical attachment. You will also commence discharge planning at the earliest opportunity, ensuring relevant drugs and equipment are ordered and undertaking follow-up in consultation with the patient's normal carers and General Practitioner. As part of your role, you will actively contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement activities and education activities within the practice setting. St Margaret's Rehabilitation Hospital serves people in need of intensive rehabilitation or interim care. The Hospital is located in the pleasant beach-side town of Semaphore, offering many opportunities for recreation and a healthy work-life balance. 

Holding a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or an equivalent qualification, you will be registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. Demonstrating appropriate postgraduate experience and knowledge of investigations and treatments for the level of the position, you will demonstrate competency in a range of routine and common procedural ward-based skills. Working well under pressure without compromising patient care, you will possess strong skills in problem-solving and decision making at both the clinical and the individual level, along with genuine empathy for patients and their relatives/families.
