Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll work within the Google Chrome OS team to ensure strategic execution and operational cohesiveness across multiple cross-functional and cross-product teams. You’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

You will balance a high operational tempo with a strong strategy for transforming the way our users experience the next generation of computers and tablets.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and UX designers/researchers in executing programs from concept to launch including planning, tracking progress, identifying issues, and driving issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to deliver Chrome OS on hardware platforms (e.g., computers and tablets) for kids, families, frontline workers, and enablers.
  • Design and rollout processes and tools to increase the velocity of engineering work and the reliability of product launches.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in data analysis using SQL or Python.
  • Experience working across projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Go or Python.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, mobile, and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Chrome OS devices and Google apps/products.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities with excellent attention to detail.
