- Drafting and Design of product components and whole assemblies in Solid Works of new and existing LDC product offerings.
- Scheduling of production orders using the current Schedule System
- Liaising with Director and GM regarding product documentation, availability of parts, ETA’s and escalating issues as they arise. Ensuring technicians are provided with most up-to-date drawings
- Assist the production manager as required
- Liaising with the Product Development team on rapid prototyping and testing of concepts.
- Hands-on prototyping, assembly and testing of components and systems.
- Trouble-shooting of failure modes and working to improve component and product performance through design improvements.
- Liaising with manufacturing partners to incorporate best practices for various manufacturing techniques and verify products meet the expected quality and performance standards.
- Developing concept sketches and technical product layouts.
- Whilst also improving functional performance, reliability, assembly time and accuracy.
