Energise your holidays with the Gippsland Water Summer Internship Program!

The program offers you the chance to apply your academic theory from the classroom to an industry environment, working on real projects. You’ll be supported by experienced mentors and continual training so when you graduate, you’ll have the skills and practical experience ready to take on your career. The program will give you a taste of what it’s like to work in the water industry and an understanding of the various career pathways at Gippsland Water.

You may also be able to have this internship recognised through your university and gain credit towards your degree. The internships will be for a period of up to 12 weeks from 25 November 2024 to 14 February 2025.

About you

The company are currently seeking undergraduate students studying for a bachelor's degree in the following areas:

  • Engineering – Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical and Process
  • Environmental Science – Biology, Natural Resource Management, Climate, Sustainability, Ecology and Botany
  • Information Technology
  • Business and Commerce – Management, Human Resource Management, Project Management and Marketing
  • Communications and Journalism

What you’ll bring

  • Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • An ability to work as part of a team, to achieve team objectives.
  • Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation & benefits

As a Summer Intern, you'll have a salary of AUD 32.68 per hour. You will also be offered the following benefits:

Training, development & rotations
