Your role

Fyfe's National Environment group is looking for a Graduate Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join their team based in their Adelaide office. Supported by the National Environment group, this is an exciting and challenging role where you will play a critical role in the success of the South Australia Environmental business.

They are looking for a Graduate Environmental Scientist/Engineer to be responsible for the preparation of high-quality designs, documentation and specifications satisfying both organisation and client expectations. They are looking for an energetic, team player who can support their group of specialised scientists and engineers out of the Adelaide office.

The role will include, but is not limited to, the following key areas:

  • Preparation of environmental deliverables to support the design and construction of Coal Seam Gas infrastructure i.e. Environmental Constraint Assessments, Site Environmental Plans, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Environmental Material Take-offs;
  • Environmental Compliance for Construction Projects;
  • Erosion and Sediment Control and Watercourses;
  • Flora and Fauna;
  • Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Approvals; and
  • Contaminated land investigation and management.

Other Duties:

  • Assess and present data and figures ready for input to reports
  • Support with proposal preparation
  • Assist in the procurement of subcontractor services and maintain all equipment and technology required to complete field and monitoring work

About you

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in related Science, Engineering or Environmental Management fields
  • Ability to work on project sites in accordance with all safety, quality and environmental procedures
  • Plan and carry out research to ensure technical quality and project timelines are achieved
  • Ability to work closely with other team members
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and summarise data. Be able to provide input to reports and present clear opinions in both the written and verbal formats
