Friendly Society Private Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic recent nursing graduates and nursing students in their final year of study to join the Graduate Nursing Program to join their team of bright minds and warm hearts in 2025. Their Graduates have the opportunity to learn the many facets of nursing care through extensive orientation, training and bedside teaching in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

This year they have opportunities to complete your grad program in:

  • Medical / Surgical rotation
  • Day Oncology
  • Emergency Department
  • CCU / ICU
  • Perioperative Services

About you

Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate the organisation's values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Evidence of completion or near completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification
  • Evidence of registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligibility for registration prior to commencement
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, share information and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to build trust and promote confidence with the patient and their families

Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements:

It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within the hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine-preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis. Mandatory vaccination requirements for this role will be discussed further with applicants throughout the application process.
