ExxonMobil Australia offers challenging internship opportunities to a number of students across various Engineering & Data Science disciplines. Successful candidates can expect to work on real-world projects in a dynamic team environment, supported by some of the industry’s best technical and commercial professionals

Position description

The program typically runs from March to November, and depending on the successful candidates’ preferences, these roles will be based at our head office in the Melbourne CBD, or at our main processing facilities such as Long Island Point in Hastings, Longford Gas Plants in East Gippsland, or the Altona and Yarraville terminals in Melbourne. Our internship has the flexibility to accommodate different work arrangements, including part-time although full-time completion is preferred.

We’re seeking students who are:

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, in any Engineering discipline or Data Sciences, and are in their penultimate or final year. Graduates will also be considered. A strong academic record will be highly regarded
  • Capable, highly innovative students who display initiative and drive
  • Able to demonstrate maturity, sound judgement and excellent interpersonal skills through prior leadership and team roles
  • Willing to question and identify improvements with a collaborative attitude
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
