Your role

The Graduate Program unlocks your potential, allowing you to develop experience and gain exposure within the Metallurgy function, and on-site. At Evolution, we want to be the highlight of your career. Some of the key result areas in this role may include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Program, including attendance at all formal workshops and webinars, and completion of assignments and deliverables to the designated timeframe
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours or actions.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.
• Complete rotations across processing roles (operations, laboratory) and cross functions (mining, geology, maintenance, finance/commercial) as part of professional development
• Monitor and report plant metallurgical performance under the guidance of plant metallurgists

You will be exposed to on-the-job learning, an individual development plan, a strong support network, and ownership of real work projects from day one. You will have the opportunity to learn technical and business skills from a technical leader who will oversee your development and provide guidance.

Career progression

Should you successfully fulfil all requirements of the two-year Graduate Program, you will be offered a permanent role in the business. Their extensive support network will work together with you to finalise your permanent location and position, aligned to your skills, interests and business needs. This is based on criteria including meeting individual performance standards and participating in all aspects of the graduate program.

About you

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, or related discipline.
• Ability to work safely at all times.
• Effective computer literacy, including spreadsheet and database development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with data management and metallurgical software is highly regarded 
• Vacation work experience within a minerals processing environment is highly regarded
