Your role

The graduate program unlocks your potential, allowing you to develop experience and gain exposure within the Sustainability function, and On-Site. At Evolution, they want to be the highlight of your career.

Some of the key result areas in this role may include:

  • Influence proactive safety behaviours through visible safety leadership
  • Assist in leading the understanding of and compliance with all safety requirements set out in the Safety Health Management System (SHMS)
  • Engage stakeholders to proactively manage risk, including the facilitation of risk assessments, proactively build and maintain positive working relationships through working collaboratively, demonstrating teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Act as a consultant to operational departments, supporting leaders through safety coaching, training, and planning facilitation to incorporate safety into their department, crews/teams providing information and advice to the work teams on health and safety matters
  • Assist facilitation, lead, and participate in safety initiatives and activities
  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the site access, training management, and learning management systems to ensure ease of access to the site, based on competency-based requirements
  • Assist facilitation and lead reviews for safety and health management system (SHMS) documentation
  • Assist and conduct incident investigations and analysis with the goal of a nil repeat outcome
  • Conduct workplace internal audits and inspections

About you

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or related) subjects Occupational Health and Safety / Risk Management
  • Work experience in a regional area or voluntary service (RFS, SES, St Johns, sports medicine, etc.) will be highly regarded
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have a highly flexible and agile approach to your work, with the ability to be adaptable and resilient to situations and challenges you are confronted with
