Your role

The Graduate program unlocks your potential, allowing you to develop experience and gain exposure within the Business Development function, and On-Site. Some of the key result areas in this role may include:

• Providing analytical and project management support to the BD team, and collaborating with Asset Management peers and others to support the site's strategic plans.
• Fulfill the requirements of the Graduate Program, including attendance at all formal workshops and webinars, and completion of assignments and deliverables to the designated timeframe
• Be an active member of the BD team by assisting in the development and maintenance of financial models, valuation analysis / any other ad-hoc analysis as required, research data compilation and board-pack information for all key BD acquisition targets
• Contribute to due diligence and overall project management
• Closely monitor key BD acquisition targets as new information becomes available that could upgrade these targets and influence the BD approach strategy
• Actively monitor the market, our peer set and trends in the gold sector
• Manage the BD WIP list
• Manage and build internal and external stakeholder relationships

Should you successfully fulfil all requirements of the two-year Graduate Program, you will be offered a permanent role in the business. About you

Requirements:

• Qualifications in Commerce (Majoring in Finance), Business, Law, Economics, or a similar degree 
• Preference for at least 1 year of post-degree practical experience in a large accounting, consulting, or investment banking firm
• Interest in and understanding of capital markets and mergers and acquisitions fundamentals
• Ability to synthesise large amounts of information into a concise message
• Presentation development and delivery
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Microsoft Suite (advanced level – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
