Your Role

As a GIS Support Consultant, you will deliver on the company vision and service delivery principles of Ease, Expertise, Collaboration and Consistency, by providing technical software support and training to clients, ensuring that contact with clients delivers a user experience consistent with the company client experience vision.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide high-quality technical software support, training, and customer service to our Esri Australia end users. 
  • Resolve technical issues using ArcGIS knowledge, specifically using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online.
  • Work well in a high-energy, fast-paced, enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative culture.
  • Identify, understand, and articulate solutions for customer issues related to ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online using Esri tools and other related technologies.
  • Interfacing and providing high-level assistance to key and strategic clients.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of our service desk documentation ensuring that the documentation is accurate and of high quality.
  • Being successful in this role involves being keen to learn more about geospatial technologies, and desktop ArcGIS applications, and developing product knowledge across a suite of ArcGIS products.

About You

To succeed in this role, here is what they are looking for:

  • You have recently graduated (BA preferred) in associated business disciplines (Geography, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing and/or Surveying) or have relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Online and other related technologies. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. You communicate well in both written and verbal mediums. You can communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • The ability to effectively demonstrate fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills; and communicate relevant issues and findings.
  • Dedicated to continuous learning; eager to learn and embrace new and emerging technologies.
  • Keen interest and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Great attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Working rights - You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
