No teaching experience? No Chinese? No problem! All you need is:
- A high school certificate (SSCE), passport & bachelor's degree from Australia or New Zealand
- Commitment to work abroad for one year
- ESL/TESOL certification by the time you start (EF can sponsor)

- Teach English to kids ages 3-18

I love the diversity and openness of the company and its employees!
Best thing about EF is the support I got when I first arrived. I had two weeks of hotel paid for, help with setting up a bank account, and was given a Chinese SIM card to help keep in touch with my family. Definitely made it easier to adjust!

Cons
During the busy seasons, the teaching hours are a bit longer but the bonuses we receive are nice.
Sometimes itโs a bit tough working away from home.
Some expectations can be difficult to meet due to the current global climate

Havenโt been able to visit my family back home because it is hard for me to re-enter China. But community here is great, so not necessarily a bad thing because everyone is in the same position during COVID
