Your role & responsibilities

The Business Support Assistant is responsible for Control Tower transactional activities to track & trace, shipment updating, and EDI checking and monitoring.

Key Tasks & Deliverables:

• Check and monitor shipment milestones and update the nominated system when applicable.
• Provide missing milestones report to the Account Management team including the stations that need to provide expected action. Escalate noncompliance when necessary.
• Monitors mailbox and other input data sources for booking creation requests, shipment updates, and data revision (whichever is applicable).
• Monitors exceptions related to temperature alert and timely send follow-up emails until the issue is fixed.
• Investigate EDI failure and fix the issue if within scope. Escalate when needed.
• Proactively advises any discrepancies in the shipment information especially those that cannot be fixed by their end.
• Report irregularities as per SOP and Global KPI. Perform proper escalation when necessary.
• Promotes and initiates process improvement. Active participation in projects that may lead to process efficiency.

About you

• Freight-forwarding / logistics education is an advantage.
• Knowledge of different transport management systems is an advantage.
• Good know-how in MS Office (Outlook /Excel – Intermediate to advanced)
• Good know-how in web-based applications/internet.
• Quick comprehension and focused work.
• Resilience, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Accurate and reliable working method.
• Ability to work in a team & good interpersonal skills.
• Openness and flexibility in meeting customer demands/service attitude.
• Ability to cooperate with various units in DSV (ISSC and Local Teams).
