The Role

Discovery Holiday Parks is embracing the new normal and is undertaking a historic transformation to build the Park and Digital Experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into technology and business processes to develop custom attribution and predictive models focusing on customer behavior across our entire accommodation network. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to use the latest Microsoft tools and technologies to drive actionable insights to add value to the business.

The Graduate Data Analyst will gather data from various sources, review and interpret it using data analysis tools and provide meaningful information and insights to help businesses make better-informed decisions.

This role will require you to;

• Apply your broad skillset across data and analytics to understand business problems, create insights and provide practical solutions
• Respond to data requests from across the business and manage service delivery
• Collaborating with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes
• Derive insights from data and communicate those insights to a non-technical audience
• Conduct end-to-end analysis including data gathering, data cleaning and requirements specification processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations/visualizations
• Present a clear story to the key stakeholders and build automated workflows for continued consumption of the insights
• Ensuring all project documentation is up to date and maintain the highest levels of quality in deliverables
• Investigate alternate data sources to provide additional insight into the business

Your Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, and Economics along with knowledge of data science, analytics, or data engineering is essential to the success of this role.

To be successful in this role you will have a general understanding of data modeling techniques and visualization tools. You will have the ability to write SQL queries and extract data from databases. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be utilized when working across cross-function teams and external stakeholders.

You will be naturally curious and possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks.
