Your role

The Arts Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of prisoner participation in arts activities, including accredited art classes, University art courses, cultural events involving arts such as NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week exhibitions and projects, and external and internal exhibitions including the ongoing series of exhibitions at Fremantle Prison. The Arts Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring prisoner participation in art activities and the production and sale of prisoner artwork are carried out in a lawful, ethical, transparent, and culturally appropriate manner that complies with legislative and departmental requirements. This includes the legal rights of the prisoner artist ensuring the governance processes are adhered to regarding sales, commissioning, and ownership of prisoner art.

About you
