Your role

Join Dell Technologies as a Graduate Sales Associate on their Next Generation Sales Academy (NGSA) team in Sydney, Australia to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

The Next Gen Sales Program was created to build the next generation of Dell Technologies sales leaders and sellers. Through an industry-leading training and enablement program, they are focused on developing ambitious talent along an accelerated career path. You will be given the opportunity to learn from business leaders across the organisation, deepening your industry knowledge through a structured learning environment.

You will:

  • Perform outbound sales activities such as cold calling, lead follow-up, and sales qualifications and offer extension to new and/or existing B2B enterprise customers and create demand in unpenetrated areas of large Tier 1, public sector, and medium business accounts.
  • Develop effective Dell Technologies messaging while uncovering opportunities to be passed to Outside Account Executives (AEs) and develop an Account Management Skill Set, by offloading critical tasks from the AEs
  • Daily tasks will include prospecting, asset management contact acquisition, and meeting activity metrics for outbound calls, appointments and opportunities identified.
  • Maintain contact with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, issue resolution and help to drive the expansion of Dell Technologies’ footprint and provide an improved customer experience by offering immediate response and feedback.
  • Complete the development curriculum to demonstrate core strengths needed to progress to the Inside Sales (IS) role.

Training, development & rotations

Over the course of two to three years, you will engage in an intense program that will prepare you for long-term success within the Dell Technologies Sales organisation. Anyone who joins their organisation starts as an Associate Inside Sales Representative (AISR) where you will receive premier training from both a technology and sales perspective.

Career progression

You will be in that role anywhere from 12 to 18 months, depending on how you perform, and then you will have the opportunity to advance to become an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) where you will carry a quota and run all aspects of a sales campaign. They typically see people staying in the Inside Sales Rep role for another year and a half before ultimately moving on to their next position, whether it be field sales, sales management, or a specialty selling role.

About you

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what they are looking for in this role:

  • Graduated from a Business/IT related Bachelor’s degree within 12 months of start date (Feb 2024)
  • 1-3 years of customer-facing experience (e.g. retail, hospitality, etc.)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Full working rights in Australia and/or at least 2 years left on Visa from Feb 2024 start date
  • Previous experience in IT Sales
