Your role

The successful candidate will collaborate with patent attorneys in DCC's electrical/electronic and ICT group to train and develop their skills in preparing and prosecuting applications for patent rights in Australia and overseas. Additionally, they will provide expert legal advice on patent rights to the team.

About you

Essential Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate/Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or physics or similar (e.g. biomedical engineering with an electronics/signal processing focus, applied mathematics with an experimental focus, etc.) at a leading university

Attributes and behaviour:

  • Demonstrated ability to readily understand, critically analyse, and communicate complex technical information, and to think laterally
  • Excellent written English skills
  • Ability to work with a client focus, including to understand our clients’ non-technical goals
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, to be self-motivated, and to be organised
