About the placement

This internship is with XMB Technology and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.

XMB Technology is seeking a motivated individual to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in Javascript/Typescript, Node.js, and React. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience working on real-world projects in a supportive environment, including collaborating with the development team on various projects, continuously learning and enhancing technical skills, contributing innovative ideas to project discussions, and adhering to project timelines and deliverables.

Work arrangements

  • Start date: June, 2024
  • Working arrangement: Casual for 200 hours/3 months on a fixed term contract, with the possibility for further employment for the right candidate (minimum of 10 hours per week)
  • Remuneration: $30/hour plus super on a temporary contract with XMB
  • Location: Remote (student must be NSW based)

Desired capabilities

  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Background or basic understanding of programming/IT
  • Prior experience in similar projects or a portfolio on Github is a plus, but not required.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate or TAFE qualification.
