About the role

This is an outstanding entry level opportunity which may open up pathways into other roles within our Sales, Operations, Agronomy and Services teams. We are seeking professionals with motivation to build a career and the drive to support our expansion and growth. Join our business in a hands on role where no day is the same and play a key role in building and maintaining CSBP Fertilisers’ reputation as reliable, forward-thinking and a quality provider of nutritional solutions and services.

Reporting to the Field Research Manager, you will support the day to day running of our CSBP Field Research Program. This role will also support CSBP’s Nutritional Service offering, performing tasks such as soil and plant tissue testing collection. Additionally, you will be involved in Agtech research and development by evaluating potential new services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating CSBP’s field trials in an efficient, accurate and cost effective manner.
  • Statistical analysis and reporting of trial results, as well as presenting key results to customers.
  • Deploying and assessing the effectiveness of new Agtech tools and systems such as NDVI drone cameras and weather stations.
  • Contributing to trial ideas and designs, focusing on opportunities for improvements.
  • Implementing the Field Research Safety Plan for the Services team.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of field machinery and equipment.
  • Prioritising your safety, and the safety of others in all practices.

As part of this role, there will be regular travel to regional areas.

Do you have a mixture of the following skills and experience?

  • Tertiary qualification in an agriculture science discipline is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
  • Sound planning and organisation skills, along with effective problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian Agriculture.
  • As part of our recruitment process we require all candidates to undertake a pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol test, and provide evidence of full covid vaccination.
