Ready to elevate your engineering studies with ‘real world’ experience in the energy sector? The ConocoPhillips Engineering Internship for 2024-25 offers an exciting opportunity for driven and enthusiastic penultimate-year engineering students to join the Process and Instrument, Control, Electrical & Telecommunications engineering teams in Brisbane this November.

  • Twelve weeks of paid work experience with the Engineering Team.
  • Work with professionals in the field, including site visits to the Australia Pacific LNG facility in Gladstone, Queensland.
  • Complete technical work tasks and projects to support your ongoing development.
  • Gain experience using the latest engineering software.
  • Further develop your collaboration, research, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • An encouraging, hands-on, and FUN learning environment that you will thrive in.

About you

Requirements

You bring a learning and growth mindset and have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the energy sector, including:

  • Alignment to ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT values.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Penultimate year of Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in chemical or electrical, instrumentation or control systems.
  • Strong desire to learn and improve your professional and technical engineering skills.
  • Be available to work full-time in Brisbane from 25 November 2024 to 21 February 2025.
  • Be available to travel to the Australia Pacific LNG facility in Gladstone, Queensland to undertake site visits.
