Job Description

Civmec is an integrated multi-disciplinary heavy engineering and construction provider to the metals and minerals, oil and gas, infrastructure, as well as marine and defence markets. Our diversification enables us to operate extensively across the nation.

The Opportunity

Civmec is currently taking applications from Mechanical and Civil Graduate Engineers for our Graduate Engineer Program starting throughout 2022.

Our program is 2 years with various rotations throughout the Business. This role will require rotations within our Corporate Henderson office, as well as Onsite Projects on a FIFO 2:1 Roster or DIDO basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process material take-offs
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Produce as-built drawings for precast works
  • Arrange method statements
  • Organise project testing requirements
  • Compose weekly progress reports
  • Update schedules as required
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Civil engineering 
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to do site-based work e.g. FIFO 2:1 roster or DIDO South West region
